Last night we slept well with te family in Lat Krabang.
Today, together with Moue and the children, we are going to
Wat Luangpho Sothorn, Wat Sothon in short, in
Chachoengsao to sacrifice a total of 200 hard -boiled eggs.
We bought those eggs yesterday.
The intention is to drive away at half past eight, at a quarter to nine we indeed drive away.
It is usually very busy in this temple, and that can also be seen in the buildings that are
there.
It is all big and impressive.
Not entirely Tom's taste when it comes to temples, but in Thailand they are happy with it.
Today, luckily it is not too bad with the crowds.
The eggs are brought to a room where it smells a bit of rotten eggs, and where dozens of
people are sitting with eggs.
Incense is burned, gold leaf is stuck on Buddha images, and of course also money is donated.
Some people leave the eggs in the temple, others, like us, take them back and then hand
them out.
After we are ready in Wat Sothon we want to eat something. We drive to a place where we have eaten before, but everything is closed or has disappeared. Eventually we sit at the Floriva Cafe, which looks like a coffee shop, but we also have to go to the toilet and that's why we just go inside. They also sell food, we order something and it tastes pretty good.
On the way back we stop at the
Talat Khlong Suan 100 Pi in the hope that they will sell salted and dried fish (pla
sarit), which we want to take to the Netherlands.
There is no salted fish, and the market is almost extinct.
Along the road we can buy the fish, Pia buys 3 kg.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
